PTFE Materials
PTFE materials have an excellent chemical compatibility. Due to the fact that PTFE itself does not have a memory or tendency to move back to its original shape, a energizes is often required. Its chemical compatibility and wear resistance makes it an excellent material for dynamic and high demanding static applications.
NDS-100
Virgin PTFE is the most elastic type with high chemical resistance. Commonly used in food and chemical applications.
Temp range: -190 to +230 °C
Color: White
NDS-123
PTFE with glass and Molybenumdisulfide. Reduced starting coefficient of friction, increased wear resistance and hardness make this an excellent solution for medium duty dynamic applications.
Temp range: -190 to +290 °C
Color: Black
NDS-150
PTFE Blue. Improved wear resistance used for low duty hydraulic applications.
Temp range: -190 to +230 °C
Color: Blue
NDS-225
PTFE + 25% Carbon. Improved wear and creep resistance. Adding carbon to PTFE significantly increases the thermal conductivity.
Temp range: -190 to +315 °C
Color: Black
NDS-235
PTFE + 10% carbon fibre. Improved wear and creep resistance. Excellent sliding properties in water.
Temp range: -260 to +310 °C
Color: Black
NDS-415
PTFE + 15% graphite. Lowered coefficient of friction and excellent self lubricating properties. Excellent for use in soft shaft/sealing surfaces.
Temp range: -190 to +230 °C
Color: Grey
NDS-640
PTFE + 40% bronze. Outstanding wear and creep resistance. Ideal for use in heavy mechanical and hydraulic applications. Reduced chemical resistance and possible oxidation needs to be notices.
Temp range: -156 to +260 °C
Color: Bronze
NDS-660
PTFE + 60% bronze. Outstanding wear and creep resistance. Ideal for use in heavy mechanical and hydraulic applications. Reduced chemical resistance and possible oxidation needs to be notices.
Temp range: -156 to +260 °C
Color: Bronze
NDS-750
PTFE + Polyimide. Highly abrasion resistant and low friction of coefficient. Excellent for use in dry running and high speed applications.
Temp range: -260 to +310 °C
Color: Tan
