In most cases, the sealing solution you’re looking for already exists as most applications use standardized sealing components. But if that is not the case, NewDealSeals has an in-house design & engineering team that can assist you throughout the development process.
Thanks to our extremely large production network, we have access to virtually all production methods used for prototyping parts. These methods include, but are not limited to:
- Rubber machining
- Single cavity compression molding
- Laser cutting
In order to fully identify a material, you will need to use several different analyzation methods. One of them being the “Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy” analysis, better known as the FTIR Analysis. This method uses infrared lasers to measure specific elements in an elastomer compound. Since every material has its own unique combination of elements, we can use this information to deduce its composition with extreme precision.
Our laboratory has the following measurement equipment available:
- FTIR Analysis
- Shore durometer
- IRHD Hardness tester
- Compression set
To minimize the chance of failure during operation, it is wise to perform simulations or lab tests prior to usage.
With the machines and software we have at our disposal, we are able to test components with the following methods:
- Chemical resistance
- Thermal degradation
- Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) simulation
- Dynamic seal test
