FKM, Viton® O-Rings & Seals

Viton® O-rings are an excellent choice for general use due to their exceptional resistance to chemicals, oils and extreme temperatures (-25 to 204 °C). Special compounds can further reduce the low temperature threshold to -30 °C for dynamic seals and about -40 °C in static applications.

Viton® is a brand name for the fluoropolymer group FKM also referred to as fluoroelastomers. FKM rubber has good resistance to compression, low gas permeability and resistance to ozone and sunlight. Although originally formulated for use in aerospace applications, FKM seals are now widely used in the automotive, equipment, fluid power and chemical process industries.
